Wes Hall is the Executive Chairman & Founder of Kingsdale Advisors and KSS Group of Companies. He founded the BlackNorth Initiative, where CEOs of hundreds of Canadian companies have signed up for the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism. Leaders commit to dismantling anti-Black racism and to create empowering opportunities for Blacks.
Wes owns QM Environmental, Titan Supply, and Harbor Club hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, one of St. Lucia’s premier resorts. The Globe & Mail called him one of Canada’s “most influential powerbrokers” and Canadian Business magazine named him one of the “most powerful business people”.
Wes was the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009 and 2011. He received the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors’ (ICD) and Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. In 2017, he received an honorary doctorate both from the University of the West Indies.
In 2020, he was appointed to the Ontario Capital Markets Modernization Taskforce.
He is a director of SickKids Foundation, Pathways to Education and was Board Chair of Difference Capital, Director at Equity Financial, Longford Energy, Wellgreen Platinum and the Exempt Market Dealers Association. Wes receives the 2020 Leadership Award from the Afroglobal Television Excellence Awards program.
