With an adventurous, cultural and gastronomic proposal; Ecuador, the country of the “Four Worlds”, along with 23 co-exhibiting tourism companies, participated in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2019, one of the most prestigious tourist fairs worldwide, held from November 4 to 6.
Ecuador opens its doors to the international tourist trade with diverse destinations and touristic packages that invites travelers to discover the country in the “Middle of the World”. Approximately 40 activities have been planned for this three day fair, including: destination presentations, meetings with representatives from the international tourism industry, international media interviews and artistic shows.
Patricia Palacios, official spokeswoman of the Ministry of Tourism, together with the representatives of: the Tourism Foundation for Cuenca, Quito Tourism, The Galapagos (Santa Cruz and San Cristobal) Local Government, Sacha Lodge, Adventure Journey, Advantage Travel, Andean Travel, Ariel Travel, Ecuatraveling , Enchanted Expeditions, Galacruises, Galapagos Experience, Geo Reisen, Golden Galapagos Cruises, Haugan Cruises, Latin Trails, Latventure, Maritetour, Nemo Galapagos Cruises, Salmor Outlet trips, Royal Galágos, Summer Vacations and Tip Top Travel; will share information with the attendees about the fantastic tourist scenarios that the country has within its four regions.
Ecuador's participation in the fortieth edition of the WTM represents a great opportunity to foster tourism-commercial relations between international and national operators, promote a greater flow of international visitors to Ecuador, learn about new trends within the industry and strengthen destination promotion.
According to the data at the Yearbooks of International Entrances and Exits, and the provisional Migratory Movements; during 2018, Ecuador received approximately 28,235 visitors from England, with an average 12 day stay and an average expenditure of 1187.80.
These actions reaffirm the commitment of the Ecuadorian Government to boost the economic system and the recognition of the country as a world tourism destination.
